THE CAMBRIDGE HISTORY OF INDIA
The work will cover a period of more than three thousand years and will deal concisely
with the political and social history of the numerous nationalities which have risen to power
in the Indian continent during historical times. The work will be complete in six volumes,
royal 8vo. , of between 500 and 600 pages each. A prospectus containing a general summary
of the character and contents of the volumes will be sent on application. It is hoped that
the first volume will be published by Easter, 1914, and that the remaining volumes will appear
subsequently in chronological order at regular intervals of six months.
